Sniper Rifle by beere Sniper Rifle by beere
This is the high poly version of my current project.
It's based on the sniper rifle design in UT3.

Now I will start working on the lowpoly version and the texture.

Programs used:
Maya 2008 Extension 2

Lemme know what you think!

I don't know what that lever is beneath rear of the scope, but it looks a little awkward. If it's to discharge a shell casing from the firing chamber, a right-handed shooter would have to take his hand off the trigger to use it. Also the scope looks like it could use a little more support. Other than that, though, it's an amazing design.

Unfortunately, that is how just about every bolt-action sniper rifle is designed, with the charging handle always to the right.

Considering the length and most likely weight of this one, though, I think you'd be glad you wuoldn't have to hold that out straight with your shooting hand every time when operating the bolt.
