One-Texture Environment - Dayward Inc.
I wanted to create a really challenging and optimized environment.
I came up with the design after looking at streamliners, luxury cruisers.

I decided to go for the One-Texture approach, using a 256x512.

What's "One-Texture approach" ? Is it really one grainy tileable texture that you applied on all surfaces ?

Wow I LOVE the clean look and feel! Too much scifi is all grunge, it's really refreshing to see such a crisp piece that is still scifi, but also really stands out from the rest. Also, the orange is a nice touch, different from the typical blue/green.

So the whole environment is just one single texture sheet or something? I've never done a one texture environment before so I'm curious as to how it works.

Yeah. It's a 512x512 split up into 2x 256x512. One is a diffuse and one is the normal map. :)

So does that mean the entire enviroment is just one single mesh? Or are they seperate meshes all just using the same texture somehow? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions xD

Looks really nice though. Your lighting is top notch too. :D

They're all separate meshes using the same texture. Don't worry! That's how to find stuff out! :D
